- Abner Doubleday Civil War Roundtable - Thomas W. Malone Award for an outstanding entry focused on the Civil War
- Ancient Order of Hibernians Award for an outstanding entry focused on Irish Heritage
- Arab or Islamic History Award for an outstanding entry that illustrates an aspect of the history of the Arab world, Islam, or the Arab-American or American-Muslim experience.
- Bassett Healthcare Award for an outstanding entry focused on the history of medicine or a health related event
- Cooperstown Graduate Program Award for an outstanding exhibit from a first time participant that portrays the topic in a clear, concise, and attractive manner
- The Farmers' Museum Award for an outstanding project focused on the history or innovations related to agriculture
- Kalmar and Folk Family Award for an outstanding entry focused on Holocaust studies
- Museumwise Award for Excellence for an outstanding entry focused on local and/or community history
- National Archives and Records Administration Awards for outstanding use of primary sources
- National Baseball Hall of Fame Award for an outstanding sports related entry
- New York State Archives Partnership Trust Award for outstanding use of primary sources for a New York State History topic in an individual entry
- New York State Historical Association Award for an outstanding entry focused on the history of New York State
- SUNY Fredonia Ethnic/Minority Studies Award for an outstanding Junior and Senior exhibit related to African-American or ethnic/minority topics
- West Kortright Centre Award for an outstanding entry in the performance category
- The Women's History Award for an outstanding entry focused on the history or achievements of women
