Teacher's Toolkit
 History Day in the Classroom, A Teacher's Toolkit is a ten lesson unit created to assist teachers with implementing History Day with their students. Designed to introduce History Day themes, the lessons help students build the skills they need to succeed with the program. Lesson topics include:
- Defining National History Day
- Building researching skills
- Identifying and learning from primary sources
- Choosing and narrowing a topic based on an annual theme
- Crafting a quality thesis statement
- Developing an annotated bibliography
- Writing a top-notch process paper
Lessons are based on New York State Learning Standards and contain worksheets, rubrics, and content resources.
